Do you remember that colourful skein of fingering weight yarn in your stash, that is just too lovely to be turned into socks but that you can’t see yourself wearing as a shawl. Pair this skein with a solid yarn and knit them up into a casual and lightweight sweater.

Frühlingserwachen, a sweater I started almost a year ago and that I finally released this week.

You can buy the pattern for 5.00€ here. You will receive a .pdf-file with detailed instructions.

Crazy Cable Lady

I have made quite a few resolutions for this year. Blog more often and publish more patterns are just two of them. Well, we have mid February and today I published this year’s first post and released my first pattern. That’s …. okay. So meet “Crazy Cable Lady”.

Curio Mitts

I found the most amazing surprise in the mailbox last week! My copy of Pom Pom’s winter issue arrived, with one of my designs in it. Curio Mitts.

If you haven’t heard of Pom Pom Quarterly yet, you should really go and have a look on their website or their Ravelry entry. Then you will have a good cry, because you can’t decide what to knit (or crochet) first. Every issue features not only gorgeous designs, but interesting articles and recipes. It also has an overall, oh so beautiful layout and design, that makes you swoon. I think Pom Pom Quarterly really is an outstanding magazine, especially compared to anything I can get my hands on here in Germany and I am so happy to have had the possibility to work with them for the third time.

The Curio Mitts are knitted in the best yarn I have ever had the pleasure to work with, Anzula Squishy.

Hand circumference: 18 (21.5) cm / 7 (8½)”

Yarn: Anzula Squishy (4ply/Fingering; 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon; 352 m / 385 yds per 100g)
Shade: Denim; 1 (1) skein

Gauge: 28 sts & 38 rows = 10 cm / 4” in stocking stitch
Cable width: 3 cm / 1¼”

Needles: 3.0 mm / US 2.5 AND 3.5 mm / US 4 knitting
needles for working small circumferences in the round
